An ask line can only be enabled in a very small time-frame. Can anyone explain why is that?

Yes sure, I am talking about the MT4/5 platform here.

Ask line can be enabled on any timeframe in MetaTrader. However, on higher timeframes, if the spread is low, the Ask line will get hidden behind the usual Bid line.

Maybe because it is not visible on higher timeframes, bid and ask lines will merge
