Very good indicator which measures volatility in the market. There is actually a better way to get into a trade if traders want to trade like a commercial. During the blue zone (low volatility state), we can actually wait for a swing high/low to be taken out first (this is called level 2 liquidity institutionally). We can either enter from the previous low or high via buy or sell limits or enter using stop orders right after we taken out the previous high or low.
