Consumer Confidence Reaches 8 Month High

Based on surveys conducted in May, U.S. consumer confidence appears to be at the highest level seen in the past 8 months, a strong, positive indicator for the future of the economy.

Despite the majority of Americans saying "jobs are hard to get", there was a significant jump in the number who said "jobs are plentiful" on the survey, with the percentage of Americans looking to buy a car in the next 6 months rising to a level not seen in around 12 months.

The stock market also saw a nice rally Tuesday, with the Dow Jones gaining 120pts.

this is such a good sign that the recession is almost over. The economy still has alot of work to do before we are safe.
