Foreclosures Drop
The number of foreclosures in the month of May dropped by 6% from those filed in April. While this is a significant improvement, it still goes in the record book as the third worst month for foreclosures.
The mortgage situation and housing markets are improving however one out of every 398 households in the U.S. still filed in some way, including repossessions, foreclosures & auctions.
Mortgage loan rates jumped by around .7% from five weeks ago, a factor that could slow the improvement we're seeing in the real estate market.
