G'day all its Grant from Australia. I am new to this forum.
I have been trading for about 5 years now, I started in Crypto and moved to Forex trading about three years ago.
My day job is project management and software development, I have been coding in multiple source code languages for over 30 years now. i.e. COBOL, C, C++, C#, Pascal, Object Pascal and now Python, PineScript, MQL for both MT4 / MT5.
I have worked as a Quant in a prop firm coding financial EAs and indicators and before that developed 16 trading strategies for a popular crypto trading platform that they use as the default settings for that platform. I also have two degrees in Finance and am working towards my Master of Finance degree.
I follow the No Nonsense Forex (NNFX) way of trading as I particularly like their way of doing both Trade management, Risk management and Money management.
I am also putting together an initiative for that called OpenNNFX, if you just google the name you will find it, just in case I cant post links here being new.
It's my way of giving back to the NNFX community that has given me so much over the past year.
Gist is it is the same NNFX implementation along with three example Algorithms provided for all major Trading Platforms as open source code.
I am hoping this will save people the time they need to learn those proprietary source code languages for each trading platform by giving people a quick way of implementing and automating their NNFX algorithms. In the end they just need to edit one file that tells the EA what indicators they want to use and their parameters and the EA does everything else for them. i.e. Risk Management, Money Management, Trade Management, Position Sizing, etc.
I have setup a GitHub site for the code but have not yet published the code for it but have the TradingView and MT4 and MT5 EA's working.
I am putting together a free Udemy course for it before I publish the code just so I don't have to field so many newbie questions on how to use the source code library.
Anyway I hope to be able to make a positive contribution to this forum and look forward to interacting with you all.
Happy Trading
