refining EAs

hello traders,
I created an okay performing EA so far but I don't know how to further increase the performance.

how do you refine your EAs and improve performance once the base EA is built? is it trial and error or do you have any other strategies to refine your EAs? I would be very grateful for your advice

You can use the optimization process in the Strategy Tester, but you need to be careful not to over-optimize it (see data mining bias).
