Seasonal Slump

I expected the "wire" to be slow over the holidays. Being my first Christmas, I didn't expect it to go dead stop! Those of you who have been involved longer than me can answer a question. How long does this last? My MT4 shows GBPJPY hasn't moved one tic in 4 days! I feel like the Pope in the Sistine Chapel, "When will it end?!" Anyone with a clue? And, Monday's New Year's Eve!

This is the status quo, from the week proceeding xmas til the newyear. I stay on the sideline until the 2nd week in the newyear.

I had read where most don't trade thru the holidays but wasn't ready for "full stop." Like I said, I entered Forex this last Feb. and didn't get the Christmas/NY intervention. Just struck me as odd that everything stopped. So, we have another week of this then? Drat! Well, Live and Learn. We should be "over the cliff" by then, from the look of things so I'll be watching for opportunities.

Thanks, Easy.

holiday cheer

hey ezrydn...... usually trading on all markerts, forex and others, is slow during the holidays for me.... this can be an advantage to position traders....... in thin markets, even the smallest news can make exagerated moves allowing them to get in or out at better prices.....

not being a manual forex trader myself, i can only guess that the forex markets would be boring for many..... things usually pick up next week......h

Here's hoping. There's been a little movement in the last 48 but nothing to get excited over. By next week, the "cliff" question will be answered and the markets should be able to figure out what they want to do. Hopefully. Will we return to "normal" or will there be a new "normal" established? No one knows yet. This is like sitting, waiting for a breakout. LOL

So, sit back, relax and enjoy the next 3 days. Then, MAYBE, we can get back to work.
