Hey everyone,
I'm excited to share our startup idea with you all and would greatly appreciate your feedback!

Problem Identified:

In the world of retail forex trading, staying on top of market sentiments, financial events, and inter-market indexes is crucial for making informed trading decisions. However, we've observed that traders often spend valuable time scanning multiple traditional media websites and checking various indexes individually daily, sometimes missing critical information in the process.

Our Solution:

We're developing a streamlined news tool tailored for retail forex traders. Imagine waking up every weekday morning to a concise, one-page summary that includes:

- Top financial news highlights from overnight across various media
- Upcoming events on the economic calendar
- Market sentiment analysis
- Inter-market indexes tracking (Stocks, Futures, Bonds and/or Commodities)
- Source links for more details if interested

This summary will provide traders with a comprehensive overview of the market before they even start their day, helping them make smarter trading decisions efficiently.

Questions for You:

1. One-Page Summary: Do you think a succinct one-page summary would be helpful for your daily trading routine?
2. Preferred Information: What specific types of information would you find most valuable in such a summary?
3. Current Approach: How do you currently catch up on the market quickly in the morning?
4. Preferred Format: Would you prefer receiving this information via newsletter, app notifications, a dedicated website, or something else?
5. Pricing:** If you were to consider paying for this service, what price point do you think would be reasonable?

Your insights and opinions would be incredibly valuable to us as we refine our product to better serve the needs of forex traders. Thank you in advance for your time and input!

  1. Yes, one page is definitely enough if you don't plan to include charts.
  2. Interest rate decisions taken since yesterday. Interest rate decisions planned for the next 24 hours. Calendar red and some orange folders - this is very individual; while red folders are a concern for nearly 100% of traders, not all orange folders are interesting to all traders. Sentiment indicators - from aggregators, brokers, and supporting platforms (this is of course is nearly impossible to integrate in that what you are building). Changes of last two daily candles for selected trading instruments (pips + %).
  3. Right now, I manually scour the primary sources and news websites.
  4. A single web page would be preferable in my opinion
  5. I think $0-30 per month would seem like a fair price depending on how flexible the summary's configuration would be and on how accurate the data would be.

Thank you Enivid for your solid feedback!

Like what you mentioned in (2), it is our plan to have a personalized summary based on trader's preferences or their trading instruments. Also, we are planning to provide customized summary based on trader's trading session. For example, traders in London will see different summaries comparing to NYC session due to their time zone difference.

We are planning to release our beta in upcoming future, hopefully we find the balance between concise information and the landscapes we covered. It is always a tradeoff between 10min reading length and the content covered.

Thank you again for your insightful feedback, Enivid!

It would be great to have both a mobile app version for on-the-go access and a full-fledged web version for more comprehensive analysis and research.

As for pricing: classic subscription model with tiered pricing options for monthly, six-month, yearly, and three-year subscriptions
