Should we have a favorite currency pair?

The most popular currency pair in forex market is EURUSD. According to many successful traders having a favorite currency pair is not a good idea. Do you have a favorite currency pair and why?

Yes, as u said it's EUR/USD. The reason - lowest spread.

My favorite currency pairs are those with a high ratio of daily volatility to average spread. And that ratio changes from time to time. EUR/JPY, EUR/USD and USD/JPY are among the best in those terms.

EUR/USD is my favorite trading currency pairs. It is most volatile pair.

EUR/USD tops the list at my end..but all said, I just don't see why it is wrong to have a favorite trading pair..

To trade successfully you need to become very intimate with the currency pair you intend to trade. Once you are a consistently profitable trader trading that one pair, only then is it acceptable to begin looking at other pairs.
