Hello,

I recently came across an old and simple trading strategy that is based on basic price action.

Strategy Post : https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/107119-simple-trading-method-with-trader101 and https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/196223

The method looks straightforward, but I’m still a little confused about the exact entry and exit points for trades. Most importantly, I’m wondering what the recommended risk-to-reward ratio should be.

Has anyone tried this strategy? Is it still effective? I’d really appreciate any feedback or opinions.

That's an interesting trading method. As the original FF thread says, the entry and exit points are based on the 14 demo trades sorting movement. I didn't see any RRR instructions there. It appears that no SL/TP is used in this system, so the concept of RRR is irrelevant for trading it.

Never tried anything like this, but this could have its merit. Certainly needs lots of testing before trying anything like this on a live account.

trader 101 had a couple threads on that idea....... early on i coded indicators and ea's for it......

the thread title says simple, but the more you look into it is not......

things spiraled out of control and trader101 eventually was deemed a commercial member......

it's a very simple matter to create a trade explorer at forexfactory and show the world results....... there is a reason so few do......

if it was simple and worked, we would all be doing it......h
