I do have an EA operating. However, this happens even outside of the EA’s time parameters!

Trades keep opening automatically when my ea is attached to the chart. I click to cancel the trade and it simultaneously opens another one!

If I turn off the auto trading it works but obviously my EA won’t be able to operate then.

My guess is it has something to do with sell limits as it is only opening sell positions but I don’t know how to turn it off. I must of clicked something when looking for something else!

Any suggestions?

hey reggie...... what do you mean by , I must of clicked something when looking for something else!

were you looking at the mq4..... did it work correctly before you 'clicked something'......

without seeing the mq4 or knowing the ea's name there is not much to go on.....h

I created the EA myself.

The issue has nothing to do with EA from what I can gather as these trades keep opening outside the EA’s trading session.

I had an issue with the EA’s tp and SL yesterday and was looking for a solution. However, I think I may have clicked something in the process.

Now, when auto trading is enabled, sell orders keep opening. I click cancel and they open straight back up again. I do have a video I took on my phone but can’t seem to upload it on here to explain better

if you have a single plain chart open and no orders are being placed, then once you attach your ea orders are placed, then it almost has to be your ea.....h

I know however this weren’t doing it 2 days ago and no changes have been made to the ea.
//----

imagine a ea that sends a selllimit if the audusd is > 0.7500..... two weeks ago it would not sent the orders..... today it will....

in other words, it might necessarily be a change made...... it might be a condition that exists today that did not exist back then.....

we would need to know what triggers the orders.... if no changes have been made, look at what triggers the orders.....

does it send orders on every pair and every timeframe.....

usually ea's first look to see if the order has been sent otherwise it might send them forever..... so the ea must scroll thru the open orders searching for it's order.....

this is done by searching for order type, order comment, order magicnumber, order lot size and such...... if no matching order is found with the searched for conditions, it will send one......

which you then delete..... it again sees no matching order and sends another.... which explains your cycle......

verify the ea is searching correctly..... verify the conditions that trigger the order......h
