With a $10,000 to a $100,000 almost everyone knows how to deal with it. But what if some has half a million or a million dollars to invest, where should he/she put it? How many different asset classes or investment areas he should look into?
Also, what time frames he should use- should he go long term just like the hedge fund and other portfolio managers do? should he be only looking into the daily and weekly charts and have proper analysis and research on the asset before opening a position in it?
Does Scalping or short term trading ends at this stage?

That depends on the trader. It is a question which boils down to what strategy a trader uses, the trader's personality as well as preference. Different traders will respond with a different answer.

A new trader you should avoid long term tradingit is suitable with good investment and much experience in trading .For low deposits and low learning about forex it is advised to do short term trading which wll give you little profits .

I would disagree with that and the opposite is actually true. Bad advice in my opinion.

with a big money what you should do is to divide! do not only focus on one thing weather it be trading or any other thing but rather try different types of investment. Scalping or any other strategy also does not have anything to do with how big your balance is; with any amount of assets you should go with the strategy that provides you with a better R/R.

agreed. It's always wise to diversify. Using strategies with the best risk-reward ratio is crucial, too. Good advice!

Short-term trading offers quick profits and excitement but comes with higher risk and requires constant monitoring. Long-term trading is less risky, benefits from compounding, and requires patience. Your choice depends on your risk tolerance, financial goals, and time commitment.

Well, choose time frames based on your own strategy—long-term or short-term. Scalping is still possible, but it's good to be aware of its risks carefully.

The rule of thumb is to allocate 60% to fixed income assets and 40% to risk assets like stocks. Probably 5-10% could be allocated to crypto since its trending thing. Among those 60%, 5-10% could be allocated to Gold, or real estate property. The asset which outperforms, like meets some target, you cash out and move to underperformed.

It’s crucial to diversify within each asset class to mitigate risk further. For example, within fixed income, consider government bonds, corporate bonds, and municipal bonds. For equities, diversify across sectors and regions. Regularly review and rebalance your portfolio to ensure alignment with your financial goals and market conditions.

Both short-term and long-term have their merits.
Short-term gives profits and losses in less time. But have high risks.
On the other side, long term have less risk and a high chance of earning more profits than short-term trades.

I hope you find it helpful.
Agree! Both approaches have their benefits.

i don get how people say U should go short or long just based on Ur balance. like in my opinion Ur balance doesn have anythin to do with whether U should go short or long. it totally depends on Ur strategy. tradin without stickin to Ur strategy is super dangerous and if U haven found the best strategy for Urself why would U risk that much money at all?

Focus on long-term investing, using daily and weekly charts for analysis. Scalping can still be part of your strategy, but balance it with long-term positions.
