As dlr has inched higher after shrugging off yen interventions warnings by JP officials earlier (see MMN), suggesting re-test of Tue's fresh 32-year top at 149.38 (New York) can't be ruled out, break extends Long Term uptrend to 149.75/80 but '150.00' handle should hold.

On the downside, below 148.89 (New York low) signals temp. high is made n yields 148.58/68 later.

Despite euro's erratic but strong rise from last Thursday's 2-week trough of 0.9632 to retrace early decline from 0.9999 (Oct high) to 0.9875 Tuesday, yesterday's selloff from 0.9872 (AUS) to as low as 0.9758 in New York on usd's rally signals said rebound has ended.

As 0.9785 has capped recovery from 0.9755, hold short n only above 0.9808/13 risks 0.9825/30 later.

Despite dlr's intra-day erratic fall on Thursday from 1.0069 (Europe) to 0.9995 in New York morning, subsequent bounce on rally in US yields and renewed usd strength suggests upside bias remains for October's near 3-year peak at 1.0074, break would head to 1.0087/88.

Raise long entry for 1.0085 after range trading and only below 0.9995 risks weakness to 0.9979/84.

Cable's impressive rally on Friday from 1.1060 to as high as 1.1314 in New York due to usd's selloff following BoJ's yen intervention n then initial rally to 1.14 08 (AUS) on news of ex-UK FinMin as the favourite next PM (see MMN) would head back towards 1.1440 later.

As 1.1301 has contained retreat in Asia, venture buying for 1.1376 1st.
Below 1.1300, 1.1260/70.

As dlr has rebounded after shrugging off intervention warnings by JP officials following retreat from 149.09 (AUS) to 148.71 at Tokyo open, suggesting choppy swings inside 149.45-148.29 range would continue, below 148.29 needed to extend towards 147.85/95.

Sell again on recovery to 149.00 for 148.50 1st and only above 149.20/25 may risk gain towards 149.45.

Intra-day rise would yield choppy swings, above 149. 00/04 would head would 149.45, below 147.52, 147.00/02.
