I agree. Generally people'd jump as an escape but takes effort too. Have you seen how scams prey on desperation?

Not online if I'm honest, but yeah I have seen in person how they make promises to desperate people about making them all rich and then taking all their money away for nothing.

There are several new cryptocurrency project emerging in the market everyday while some of them closing too. It is really becoming hard spotting potential red flags in these projects however we can take help from relevant communities or also put our money in trading major cap cryptocurrencies on major reputed exchanges rather than putting money in the hands of unknown projects some of which eventually turned in scam.
