How far can you go to make up your losses? Do you give a rest to your trading activity after losing you money or jump in the market right away to earn back your lost money?
Revenge trading is best avoided. I like to take some time off to reflect usually

That was my experience too. Every time I lost money, I'd rush to attempt to make up for it. And I lost even more. It's a vicious circle.

Revenge trading can be prevented by practicing discipline. There is a reasaon why discipline tops the list when talking about good trader traits.

I agree. Discipline, as well as emotional fortitude. Don't assume that if you trade more, in a panic, you will regain your losses.

At the beginning, I used to take a pause if I made a loss. I tried to find out what my mistake was. Nowadays, I still try to find out the mistake behind my loss, but I do not take a pause. I look for trade setup that matches my strategy. If it looks good (even on the same day), I take that entry.

I still make pauses when I lose. It's not as long as it used to be, but I still need some time to clear my head.
