I also had the EA on several different charts, same pair, with same magic number, to automate/program the trades on different dates and times while I was at work. So that seems to be the problem.
Because now I have removed it from all the charts and it is on one chart now , and now it works fine again.

I have seen in the replies above: "If currency pairs are different, you don't need to set different Magic numbers. You only need Magic numbers if you are trading on the same currency pair."
So I will test it with different Magic numbers, different charts, same pair. Maybe then I can plan trades for the whole week.

It looks like you had the concurrently running two instances of NewsTraders for the same currency pair and the same Magic number. In this case, one that had its trades already timed out would also attempt to close any new trades opened by any other instance with the same symbol/magic combination.

When it applies SL/TP (after position opening in Market execution mode), it looks at the current Ask/Bid rather than the position's open price. It looks like in your case, if tried to apply it to the position's open price, the SL would be below current price, which isn't possible for short trades.

You can try fixing this by finding and removing these line in the code:
MQL5: 
    ENUM_SYMBOL_TRADE_EXECUTION Execution_Mode = (ENUM_SYMBOL_TRADE_EXECUTION)SymbolInfoInteger(Symbol(), SYMBOL_TRADE_EXEMODE);
    if (Execution_Mode == SYMBOL_TRADE_EXECUTION_MARKET) ECN_Mode = true;
    else ECN_Mode = false;
And replacing them with:
MQL5: 
ECN_Mode = false;
But the thing is - it will likely fail to open a trade due to increased spreads.

I understand then it will likely fail due to spread (and indeed, seems it happens when spread is wider)

Could you comment this example and tell me if I understood well?

Say there is Eurusd news. Say spread always 0, never any slippage, to make things simple.
Eurusd is 1.2050
I long and short say each at 1.2050 a few second before the news. SL is 10 pips TP is 40 pips.
Say the move brings Eurusd directly from 1.2050 to 1.2090, 1 pip by 1 pip, each second.
Then, the Eurusd sell loose 10 pips.

About the Eurusd long, it will TP 40 pips, 1.2050 to 1.2090
But what about the full trailing stop if enabled?
You said it trails by the amount of the SL. Then 10 by 10 in my case?
When price , is 1.2050, before the news, SL is 1.2040.
But when price is 1.2060, what happens, does SL goes to 1.2050?
And only when price is 1.2070, SL goes to 1.2060, and so on? (until TP 1.2090 where SL will be 1.2080 ?)

No, the trailing stop is updated every pip, but the trailing stop distance is 10 pips, so when the price goes to 1.2051, the SL goes to 1.2041. When the price goes to 1.2057, the SL goes to 1.2047, and so on.

please I'm having issues with the time...if i set the day to the current day...the default time is 00:00:00 so if news is lets say 7am i set it to 07:00:00...but it shows time after news...what could i be doing wrong?

admin please i set the sl and tp to 0 as i just need it to execute like 5 seconds and I'll manage the trades myself...on mt5 it works well and doesn't place any values but for mt4 it doesn't work it still places values... what could be the problem?

It's not meant to work with zero SL/TP. The EA's code should be changed for it to work with no SL and TP on positions.

how do i do that also if it's not meant to do that why does it work on mt5 and not on mt4..alternatively i just set the SL/TP to 900 pips so it's almost the same as no SL/TP

That's called 'unexpected behavior'. Yes, you can set SL/TP to some very large values to effectively disable them.

That's not an error message. That's just an informational message to remind the trader of the current's symbol lot parameters. You can just ignore it.
