Ok, it's very unfortunate that the latest MT4 1420 update caused you problems and money loss.
It's ok you can still go back to the previous version 1415.
Well, my first question, is your MT4 version on Macbook installed directly? I mean from a broker or MT4 official website?
If yes, that means your Macbook macOS version should be maximum up to macOS Mojave because MT4 does not support any newer macOS from Mojave.
So, if that is true in this case it means that you need MT4 1415 .pkg file for macOS to replace back to 1415 version which I don't think somebody has this file because most people use Windows computers.
But if you have a newer macOS version and installed MT4 windows version on your Macbook using for example Crossover then it's easy.
You need to follow the instructions from above.
I have myself macOS Big Sur and installed MT4 windows version on Crossover so I can use this 1415 .exe file from above to reinstall my MT4 back to 1415 version.

It's very hard to understand what you are writing here but if I understand correctly then you have installed MT4 directly on your older version of macOS. In this case, you need to use crossover and install Windows version MT4.

Maybe the issue is that you cannot see HIDDEN FILES. You need to make these hidden files visible.
Follow this:
- Click the Finder icon in your dock to open Finder.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to find hidden files.
- Press Command + Shift + . (the period key). This will show hidden files in the folder.
- To hide the files again, press Command + Shift + . again.

You will then be able to install MT4 for Windows from your broker there.
If you then need to downgrade from Build 1420 to 1415, you need to follow the instructions on the first page of this thread.
i download crossover and i download mt4 IN crossover ? Or i use link in my broker for donwload mt4
You need to download MT4 from your broker (because you can't get MT4 installation elsewhere). Whether you do it from within Crossover or from your macOS and then just transfer the installation file to Crossover doesn't really matter.
Hi. I have problem downgrading mt4 on windows to build 1415. After replacing the terminal and editor file with build 1415 terminal and... I open mt4 and it's build 1415, but after a few second it closes and changes the terminal and editor files back to 1420 files (I see the files sizes change back) and it opens again automaticly and now it's mt4 1420! Im not connected to internet when I do this procces. I wonder how it changes itself back to 1420 whiteout internet! What can I do? Is there any solution to this problem?! Am I the only one that has this problem?!

Yes, this is going to happen (MT4 will update itself) if you do not block automatic updates.

Try to block from changes either WebInstall folder after deleting the content or MetaQuotes folder.
But on Macbook I found that I need to block MetaQuotes because if I block WebInstall then this folder still finds it's way to recreate files inside and update MT4 back to 1420 version.

Yes, I tried 2 methods, but the 3-rd method, I don't know how to try, maybe somebody can help me, with it:
1) To delete the files in the WebInstall folder, and the WebInstall folder, and to create a new WebInstall folder, and to copy terminal.exe+MetaEditor 4.exe of Build 1415, to the folder of Build 1420.
It worked only for a few minutes.
My EA worked only for a few minutes.
Afterwards MT4 created again the WebInstall folder and the 2 files in it, updated to Build 1420, and my EA disappeared from the chart, and didn't work anymore.
2) I deleted the WebInstall folder, with it's 2 or 3 files, and instead of this, I copied the WebInstall FILE=6.56KB.

That's supposedly a file that they forgot to share and that you are supposed to run to modify your
hosts file to block access to MetaQuotes update servers.Did you try to leave the
WebInstall folder empty, but don't delete it and instead disable Write access permissions for it. I don't know how it's done Windows Server 2012, but on Windows 10, you go to Security in the folder's Properties and there you can edit access privilegies for all users and groups.Hey , i had same problem and my EA didn't work properly, i searched everywhere on Internet , i watched a lot of video's on YouTube etc...
