hello, i am trying to get a calculation made by the ea, i set a commission of $4 on the ea with a 2r fixed reward but the reward get as low as 1.65, for a 5000 account risking 1% the ea risk 49.70 and reward was 82.36 with 0.71 lot size, if i do the calculation that 49.70 x 2r will be 99.42 and since the lot size is 0.71 the commission should be 0.71 x $4 = 2.84 that will be 99.42 - 2.84 = 96.58 instead of 82.36 . please help me to clarify this as i am confused. thanks

1. You need to set the UseCommissionToSetTPDistance input parameter to true if you want the commission to be accounted for by the TP button.
2. The commission that you enter in the Commission field is one-way, which means that it gets paid twice through the trade's lifetime.

Hello,
Can a feature be added to Position Sizer to not re-open trades for a certain period of time, for example 5 minutes, after it becomes a Stop Loss? This may be a feature that can prevent revenge trading. I am having a lot of trouble with this. I can unintentionally open consecutive trades after a stop is placed within seconds. I think such a control could be very useful.
The issue is that I opened a sell transaction and became Stop Loss. For example, I should be prevented from opening a sell transaction again for 5 minutes. But it may be Buy biased. I hope you will take this suggestion into consideration and add such a feature. Revenge trading can happen to anyone. This could be a good obstacle in this regard.

I want to know about how to take multiple TP in position size caclulator. for example I want to set three multiple set TP. I want to take 50 at first another 40 at second and another 10 at last which equals to total 100%. At that time how to set ????
1) 1st share 50%, 2nd share 40% third share 10% (total 100%) directly?
2) 1st share 50%, 2nd share 80% (remaining 50% as a hundered percent), and third 100% (10 left after taking 80% from remaining 50)
3) 1st share 50%, second 90% and third 100%

Add two more TPs using the plus button to the left of the Take-Profit button on the Main tab. Set the TP levels you want. Switch to the Trading tab, set volume shares to 50, 40, and 10. That's it.

Hello again
Since I haven't received an answer yet, I wanted to remind you of the issue again. Could there be any progress on this issue?

I don't think I will implement anything like that. It would be to easy to circumvent. I don't believe that the Position Sizer can be made a good solution to overtrading.

Thank you. I am in search of such self-control. I need a barrier. I thought such a time limit would be positive. Position Sizer is really great. Would it be asking too much if I asked for a beta version that had something like this for me? I will share the results. Thank you for your interest.

Hello everyone,
Sorry if the answer is written somewhere already

I can't tell if we can place normal Stop orders ? not a Stop limit order
Just a simple buy/sell stop order, to enter the market as soon as price gets through one way

Thanks in advance !

Switch the Order type to Pending, then put the Entry above the current price (for a Buy Stop order) or below the current price (for a Sell Stop order).

You can close the trade using the MetaTrader's interface. The panel won't do that.
If I enter 0.005 as in the photo, would that be for input and output, or would it be 0.005 for input and 0.005 for output? Thanks a lot

Hi. I've been using Position Size Calculator for years and decided to stop by to see if there was anything new about it so I discovered Position Sizer. I am still getting acquainted with it, but I was quickly disappointed to see that the trailing stop moves too prematurely. I think it should never move until the price is so many points past the entry price. For example, if I go long and set the trailing stop to 50 pts, the trailing stop should only move *after* the price reaches 50 pts above the entry price. Never before. I loved the idea of automatic trailing stop, but as it is now, it's useless to me. I tested it (demo account) and immediately lost four consecutive times because the trailing stop moved way too early. Apart from that, thank you for the new tool.

I recommend using a separate trailing stop EA. The trailing stop feature of the Position Sizer is very basic and it likely won't change much in the future.

Position Sizer updated to version 3.07 to offer multiple improvements and bug fixes:
  • Added an optional additional label for the Entry line to display the total position volume calculated by the Position Sizer. (Via GitHub)

  • Added risk-to-reward ratio calculations to the Risk tab. (@EnrichWave)
  • Added the expiration time field and parameter to allow setting a time limit for pending orders. (@logist18)
  • Added a new hotkey ('`' by default) to minimize/maximize the panel. (@Nathan.Küster)
  • Fixed TP button colors in the dark mode. (@Mio)
  • Fixed hotkeys to not trigger when they are set to work without Shift/Ctrl, but either Shift or Ctrl are pressed.
  • Fixed the margin calculation in the MT5 version to take into account the maintenance margin when required. (Via GitHub)
  • Fixed a bug when changing the hotkey input parameters for an already attached Position Sizer could fail to work. (@Elrye22)
  • Fixed a potential array out-of-range error that could appear under certain rare circumstances. (@Jakey88)
  • Fixed additional TP fields scaling on the panel for HiDPI screens. (@kamthind)
  • Changed the take-profit hotkey to switch off the TP-lock-on-SL when triggered. (@Mio)
  • Changed where the panel setting files are stored. They are now saved and loaded from the PS_Settings subfolder of MetaTrader's Files folder. Older settings files will be loaded correctly if they are found in the previous location.
  • Changed default colors for TP and SL lines to goldenrod and green respectively.
