Ok thanks, I was not aware of this feature. In fact, it gave me only 0.5 or 2 multiplier value and it's not adjusting automatically when price move, for example when you want to place a market order and not a limit order.
If you set your main TP to 2R, the buttons will set the second TP to either 1R or 4R. If you want the distance from Entry to remain fixed, you will need to set TPDistanceInPoints input parameter to true.

Thanks, but when I setup TPDistanceInPoints to True, the second TP still doesn't move with price and, so the RR vary...

Hi there,

I would like to be able to modify my SL after the trades being executed (moving to BE), but it doesn't let me modify them giving me error. I understand that the breakeven feature will move SL to BE after a fixed amount of points, but I want to manually move it not with fixed points. How can I do this? I have checked the settings but none seem to help with this, perhaps Ignoremarketexecutionmode or market modeapplysltp, but I don't fully understand the function of these two settings.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

I'm not sure which settings you are talking about if you want to move the SL manually. If you move the SL manually, Position Sizer has nothing to do with that. You just modify the positions and that's it.

Thanks for your fast reply! I tried 'dragging' SL and it wouldn't let me (something that never happened before hence why I assume the Position Sizer must have something to do). Just realised however, I hadn't tried to modify the SL by inputting a new price in the Position Sizer settings, perhaps this solves the issue? I am out now so can't verify but will try this when I am back if you say it should be fine.

Thank you:)

No, changing the SL field on the Position Sizer's panel will not do anything to an existing position.
You need to check what error did the platform output when you tried to dragging the SL of the existing position. You can check it in the Journal tab.

So I have tested it again, I am still unable to drag the SL anywhere, however I am able to modify it in the trade settings effectively by setting a new price and SL moves (I hadn't tried this before). The error that comes up when dragging is the following:
'failed modify #tradenum sell 0.01 US100cash sl: 18625.60, tp:0.00->sl:18124.59, tp:0.00 [invalid stops]'

I am glad that there is a way around it, however it is slightly more convenient to be able to drag it. Is there something I can do about it?

Thanks again!

As I have said, the Position Sizer cannot affect your ability to drag the existing position's SL. That error means that the new SL is either too close to the current price or is on the wrong side of the open price (based on the trade's direction). Again, it has nothing to do with the Position Sizer and is generated by the platform. You can remove the PS from the chart and you will still be getting the same issue.

I do apologise for the inconvenience, thank you for your time!

Hello, Mt5 and mt4 now has restricted us from using stoploss of less than 2pips.
When I select don't apply stoploss, the ea still says "stoploss too close".
I set my "max risk per symbol" to 5%, meaning if I lose 5% my trades closes automatically by the ea.
My problem is for the robot or to stop telling me stoploss too close and allow me to enter, while my trailing max is set to the percentage I want to lose.

There's a solution for these, I said I don't use stoploss but still the position size restrict me . No stoploss bruh.
On mt5 when I don't use stoploss it works, and even without the ea.

Does it say "Too close" or "Wrong value"?

It says too close, meanwhile I have enabled "do not apply stoploss"

The broker isn't restricting me but the position size calculator. You need to upgrade this, to bypass.
Yes, that's definitely a bug, and it will be fixed in the next version of the Position Sizer. Thank you very much for reporting this!

Hi,
I'm using position sizer for 6 months now and it's exactly what I needed for quick scalping, thank you so much.

However, in the middle of today's session, I hit T as usual to issue a pending order with set SL,TP and PS.
Instead of issuing the order as usual, MT5 did a very weird stuff, issuing a "sell stop" order (first pic, bottom of screen) that I could absolutely not cancel
(error messages on the journal, pic 3).
The order became a trade and closed at TP without me bein able to do anything, the "close all trades" and "delete all orders" buttons
didn't do anything.
I went back to the Position Sizer settings to check, my entry type is still set on "pending" and I even disabled "stop limit orders", before trying again to enter
the market. Once again, it did the same kind of weird stuff (Sell stop order, unable to cancel/exit trade)
Thanks god I'm on a demo account but things could have gone very badly.
Can anyone please explain to me what the F*** happened ?
Thanks a lot,
Best regards

RastaBobby

Could you please upload normal-sized screenshots? It's very hard to see anything on these ones.

As I closed MT5 the log reseted,
here are screenshots of everything I've found on the MT5 folder that looks like a log file.
3 first pics are the log file in MT5, last one is the log file in MQL5-Position sizer
I hope it's enough. Thanks for your time.
PS I'm on ver 3.07
