Stopped out for a loss on the USDCAD trade. Nevermind, we have to continue to test the water when we see a set up present itself.

GBPCHF seems to be working out ok.

I entered USDCAD short upon retest of the upper trendline on the H4 chart.

I also saw the reversal bar on the weekly USDCHF chart, indicating a possible short. But the bulls appear to be on top as price has continued upward above the H4 trendline. If the weekly candle were to close now, it would just about negate the reversal candle.

Nice Abercrombie, hope the looney works for you, I am going to see how it looks after Asia and possibly give it another shot.

I agree usdchf is not looking great at the moment, only time will tell but the doller seems to be gaining some momentum at the moment.

What Nigel Sir!

You wished Morning to Gents only !!! what about Womens :(

Anu

My profuse apologies Anu - allow me to rephrase that, if I may?

Good morning, LADIES and Gentlemen!

:) :)

Good point though - I wonder what type of numbers we have in here, between men and women?

I think that the historic, old stereotypical type of male, aggressive, obnoxious trader is definitely dying out, but I still think that for some reason there seem to be more male traders around than females.

But if there was ever any doubt as to ladies' ability in the market, just check out this video - this woman is inspirational

Morning Gents, here's my chart from this morning, have chanced a speculative short up against this trendline. Some hawkish noises out of the BOE this morning, but not enough to change things materially, IMO :D :D

My USDCAD short didn't make it through the night. No matter, risk was contained with only a small loss.

I was able to short GBPCHF on the retest of the new lower trendline depicted in Nigel's recent chart. I was knocked out of this pair previously, so I'm thankful for the opportunity to re-enter. My SL is now at BE.

Nigel - no need to credit me with that quote, I certainly didn't come up with it. But it makes a great coaching point on the importance of preparation and how to create our own "luck".

re Infograph

Hello Nigel

Is there a way of making the thumbnails larger? They enlarge by a small amount when I click on them but not enough to be able to read them.
I am a old fella so my brain is past its best before date.

One of the books mentioned, "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" is such a good read. I first read it over 10 years ago and find it so engaging that I pull my copy off the bookshelf to read it again every year or two.

Thanks Abercrombie. I can see it now.

Hi Abercrombie

I just downloaded this on my kindle yesterday and I am looking forward to getting started with it.

On the subject of trading books, here are a few others that I have found very useful, if anyone has any other books they would recommend I would be interested to hear what they are:

The Market Wizards Series - Jack Scwhager
Trading in the Zone - Mark Douglas
Trade your way to Financial Freedom - Van K Tharp
Attacking Currency Trends - Greg Michalowski
Forex Freedom (Kindle) - Richard J Lightfoot
A complete guide to Volume Price Analyisis - Anna Coulling

Thanks

Stuart
